Camp Programs

AGE: 16 months by 6/15/23- 3 by 9/30/23

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Our youngest campers attend this program with a parent or caregiver. This twice per week class takes place on Thursdays and Fridays for 1 ½ hours each day. The first part of the Thursday class is a parent discussion led by our Director of Parent Education. Discussions tackle topics such as cognitive development, tantrums, facilitating newfound independence, and more. Then, it is time for parents to lead children in play modeled and facilitated by two teachers. On Fridays, the class plays on the playground. Together they work on circle games, songs, art activities, and enjoy water play. Parent-Child is offered Thursday and Friday mornings.

AGE: 3 by 9/30/23

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
These campers spend their days in a nurturing environment. During the camp day, they take part in art activities, group games, stories, and songs. It is a great time to build independence, learn through play, and make new friends. They enjoy outdoor exploration and water play on the playgrounds. At this age, they do not go into the swimming pool. Rising Threes Classes are on Monday-Thursday, mornings only.

AGE: 4 by 9/30/23

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Rising Fours campers spend their day challenging themselves on the playgrounds. They investigate the natural surroundings and splash around in the swimming pool. Their days include playing games (old and new), art activities, stories, music, and more. This program enjoys group swimming lessons during the camp day. Rising Fours have the option of part-day (mornings) or full day.

AGE: Children entering a Kindergarten in the Fall

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Campers in this group embrace the best summer has to offer. During the camp day, they partake in group swim lessons, outdoor art, music, and playground time. These campers engage in hands-on learning and complex projects. This is an excellent bridge from preschool to kindergarten. Full-day campers have an extended pool time, a lunch packed from home, and rest/relaxation time. They start to build stamina for a whole day away from home.

Rising Kindergarten is available part-day (morning), or a full-day of camp fun.

AGE: 5-6 years old

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
This group has a lot to share with each other. Campers in the mixed-age class partake in group swimming lessons and outdoor play. Their days include playing games (old and new), art activities, stories, music, and more. Most campers find it to be a blast and carry happy memories and friends forever!

AGE: 4 by 9/30/23 through first grade eligible

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
This mixed-age, play-based class reinforces a range of social and play skills. Campers will learn about entering ongoing play, managing emotions, and solving social conflicts. Up to an hour of the day is for social and play skill work. This group does partake in group swimming lessons and many other camp activities. Getting the Most Out of Play is a Monday-Wednesday Morning Class taught by Dr. Rene Hackney

Stay & Play is available in the summer afternoon for those who need extended care. Stay & Play is available to children enrolled in full day programs, beginning at your child's camp class dismissal carpool time and running through 5:00pm. Children enjoy unstructured play outside until pickup. Stay & Play is offered Monday-Friday by full week only. Please note that all programs are subject to minimum enrollment in order to be offered and are subject to change before contracts are issued.
