After Country Day

After exciting years at Country Day, after the children discover the love of learning, families start to think of where they will go to school after Country Day.
We are here to help.

Each Fall, CDS hosts the "Overview of the Independent School Application Process" Information Session. This provides much-needed guidance for families who are exploring their child’s next step toward higher education as they prepare to leave Country Day. Questions? Email isrec@countryday.org

To start the process, complete the Country Day School Release form.

• List the schools you will be applying to on your child’s behalf.
• If your child has a sibling at the school you are applying to please include the sibling application deadline date.
• Completion of the CDS Release Form enables us to send the teacher recommendations.

Many independent schools use Ravenna Systems to coordinate their application process. If applying to a school that uses Ravenna, use the following e-mail address, isrec@countryday.org, when asked for your child’s current teacher's e-mail address. DO NOT contact teachers for a recommendation. Accommodating ALL requests need administrative support and organization.

If applying to a school NOT using Ravenna. CDS completes the Common Recommendation and school-specific forms. Please email ISREC@countryday.org with your request.
