Application Procedure

Parent School Tour
Individual tours of the school for parents are scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, October through December.  Please call the Admissions Office at 703-356-9149 to schedule this tour.

Application
Applications for the 2012-2013 school year are accepted beginning September 23, 2011. To apply, please submit a completed application along with a non-refundable $70 application fee. The application deadline is January 13, 2012.

Recommendations
The school asks for teacher recommendation forms for all children three and older who currently attend a school or daycare program.  These forms are to be sent directly from the teacher or director to Country Day School and are due January 27, 2012.

 

Age Requirements

Parent/Child	Children born between April 1, 2010 and September 30, 2010
Twos Program	Children born between Oct. 1, 2009-March 30, 2010
Threes Program	Three by September 30, 2012
Fours Program	Four by September 30, 2012
Kindergarten	Five by September 30, 2012

Admissions Decisions
A completed file is composed of an application and fee, a teacher recommendation form for those children over three who are currently enrolled in a program, and record of a parent tour of the school.  Files must be completed before January 27, 2012 for a decision to be mailed during the first week of March.
